Patrick’s Plenary Presentation at the premier conference of Educators and Thinkers was to begin at 10:10 AM on June 22nd. Patrick was one of only two speakers scheduled just after the Opening Keynote Speaker, Howard Gardner.

This was one of the most anticipated moments for us during this trip because the plan was for the last few lines of his presentation to be the last few lines of our film, 21:21. It was our hope that we would have at least 100 people at this presentation however at 10:10 AM only 4 people were in the room.
How could this be when almost 1,000 educators and leaders from all over the world are attending. Patrick is wandering outside looking at a long empty hall at 10:15 AM wondering if it was some kind of joke or… News soon arrives that Howard Gardner has gone over his time limit and at 10:25 AM approximately 500 participants enter the room. You should have seen the relief on our face. We were also fortunate to have picked up an extra cameraman, Andrew Siberman (close Tokyo buddy also presenting at this conference) to provide us some crowd reaction.
Patrick delivered the following lines:
“It is our responsibility as parents and educators to shift the fundamental principles on which we are educating our children for their future and beyond. There is an urgency in the air in every country around the world and it is time we act.”
This received a very positive applause.
Another stage in our journey that was positive for all.
